The ham powered smartphone rumor mills are rolling at a high pace, as CES 2011 draws nearer. What type of smartphone trends do we need to look forward to? Let’s see… First of all, CES isn’t the classiest computer and mobile phones show. There are a lot of other expos that take the limelight in a quick succession, as compared to CES. However, CES does have a couple of smartphones and prototypes in store, which makes it a little worthwhile. We’ve got the LTE iPhone 4 that’s going to be introduced by Verizon. That being said, the 4G network related news has been around for a long time now. Other than that, Verizon Tweeted a few days ago, “Jan 6 at #CES: #Android and #LTE – could it be like peanut butter and chocolate? YUM!” What could that possibly mean? Maybe those guys are about to introduce a Motorola Tablet anytime soon? Or an LTE technology based Droid handset may be right around the corner. Other than these rumors, we saw some leaked images of the new and upcoming Samsung Galaxy S LTE phone. Yeah, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Samsung joining the league of LTE phones because it’s crucial to its survival in the market, from a long term aspect. Fast forward to LG Optimus handset, it’s a nifty device that boasts of high end processor and out-of-the-world specs. On top of that, the Optimus is powered by the Android OS, which makes it even a better choice for people who’re Android buffs.
