Nokia N8 to Come with Symbian 3 OS

first Symbian 3-based smartphone known as the N8 will be available in the market in the third quarter of this year.  The company promised that it would be much easer to use the smartphone compared to its predecessors. In fact, the N8 is regarded as the first handset in the family of Symbian 3-based smartphones. The N8 is considered to be a pivotal handset developed by Nokia, due to which the company is provided with an opportunity to make its high-end cell phones credible. A lot of aspects appeared in the high-end smartphone segment during Nokia’s absence. As a matter of fact, the Symbian OS did not deal with the touch-based user interfaces. And Symbian 3 is going to change the situation. Having the new OS, users will be provided with multitouch, faster multitasking as well as single tap. Also there will be integration with social networks.  Due to improvements, Nokia will be able to catch up with Android-backers as well as Apple. It is considered that the biggest challenge of the company is to get users that will pick up the handset and then play with it. The thing is that the new Symbian OS looks very much the same as the older version, which is not so desirable by many users.  The smartphone will come with a 3.5-inch touchscreen. Users will be able to make photos with a 12-megapixel camera which includes a Xenon flash and provides support for video recording at 720p. Among other features, you will be able to find an HDMI port, which allows connecting to a TV.  As for the Internet, there is 802.11n that is considered to be common for new smartphones. The handset offers 16GB of memory, which can be expanded by a micro SD card.  It is expected that the handset will be available for US$495.
