T-Mobile disclosed more details about two upcoming devices that will use HSPA+ network, i.e. the LG G-Slate and Samsung Galaxy S 4G. The LG G-Slate is the first tablet that is based on the Android Honeycomb. It should be mentioned that the announcement come in advance of a Google event which will be held this Wednesday. The search giant is expected to disclose more details about Honeycomb. T-Mobile did not say a word about the price of devices. The G-Slate is a tablet manufactured by LG. It will sport an 8.9-inch screen that is able to display 3D graphics. But it is necessary to wear special glasses to enjoy the 3D experience. The tablet will feature a 5-megapixel camera, which can be used for capturing photos. There is also a 5 MP front-facing camera that can be used for video chat over the mobile network or Wi-Fi. The device is also enabled with a rear-facing stereoscopic video recorder, which is able to record on HD. Also the G-Slate will be equipped with an HDMI port, due to which the device can be connected to TVs in order to display 1080p video. The tablet device is powered by a dual-core 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and it is supportive to 32GB of internal memory. The G-Slate features an accelerometer and gyroscope. The tablet will hit the market in spring. It means that such tablets as the Motorola Xoom can become the first to hit the market with Honeycomb. According to Motorola, it hopes to ship the tablet in February. Both the Galaxy S 4G and G-Slate will use the HSPA+ network of T-Mobile. It will be the first smartphone that will have the highest speed of the network. The Galaxy S 4G will be available in February. It will be based on Android 2.2 Froyo. The handset will be enabled with a 4-inch Super Amoled touchscreen. It packs in a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor. The mobile carrier will preload applications, such as TV offering and DoubleTwist with AirSync.
